Jules

Jules has been an entertainer for almost all of her life. In the 70’s she won Entertainer of the year as part of “New Image”. She has performed with the Drifters and worked on the CTC shipping line as an entertainer. In the 80’s she was the entertainment coordinator on Great Keppel Island. Her love of musical comedy eventually led her to work at Brentleys Theatre Restaurant in Brisbane. She also performed at Rydges “Capricornia Resort” in Yeppon in the 90’s and early 2000’s.  She also worked with Johnny Morris and sang for “Fergie” as a special surprise for one of Fergies’ staff.  Jules brings her own touch to her role as Tina Turner in our show. Her wicked sense of humour and comic timing is a real winner.

Lyn

Lyn started in theatre when she was 15 in Melbourne with the “All Stars review Company”. She performed all over Melbourne. She has a natural ability and a real love of theatre starting as a director in the 1980’s. Lyn produced, directed and performed on the Sunshine Coast after her family moved here in 1991. She started the long running “Broadway on Buderim” series of adult shows as well the Buderim Community Christmas performances. Lyn loves musical comedy and enjoys writing original scripts. Now as one of the three Velvettes, she loves her role on stage, dancing and singing to all of the hits.

Renee

Renee has been on the stage since four years of age, singing and dancing. She learnt the drums at 16 years of age. Renee has travelled the world many times with her cabaret act and sensational Drum Solos.  She performed for our troops in Vietnam as part of the American entertainment program. She has performed with the Bee Gees on an Australian tour. She is acclaimed as one of the leading female drummers in the world and has also made an appearance at a special Command Performance in 1991.  Her drum solos are a winner at every show.

Chris

Chris came from a musical family. His father was a world travelled entertainer, musician and composer. Chris is following in his footsteps. He plays classical guitar and electric bass. He has worked and travelled with his wife, Renee as well as played in a number of Rock Bands. He is also a very talented artist working across a number of mediums. His art pieces are found on the walls of Velvet Waters. One of his favourite bands is The Shadows.

Johnny Wonder

Johnny who is world famous for his motorcycle stunts and Daredevil jumps over buses, cars and trucks, is the amazing host and can be found before and after the show behind his own "Foggys Bar".

Johnny is the star of the show and is also goes by the names Elvis, Johnny O Keefe and more. He will make you feel welcome and his voice has to be heard to believe.

Robert

Robert has a background in both teaching and music and has written, directed and produced a number of musicals for both adults and children. He has lectured in music at TAFE level. As music director, he is responsible for putting together the arrangements for the band and singers. A talented keyboard player and backing singer, he shares his love of live music with audiences and works hard to develop a unique entertainment package for Velvet Waters. He also acts as the MC on the nights and helps tell the story of Rock’n’Roll.
